Manual commentary from financial writers is typed or cut and pasted in to the user friendly Commentary Editor within VRS. These comments may be chained to data, parameterised or filtered to allow for extensive reuse. Not only may data need to be pulled or created; a sign off process may also be required. A composite security access matrix allows only certain roles and users access to aspects of the system. If sign-off of reports is required by fund managers, legal and compliance departments before publication, the security matrix will ensure that the appropriate users and/or roles only have access to specific areas. Finally a Workflow Module may manage and control this entire process, polling for ready data, prompting users through email URL to complete any number of tasks before generating a batch of marketing quality and usually personalised reports. These valuation, investment, quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily, factsheet, hedge or private client reports may need a final sign off by a Client Reporting Analyst before the workflow schedule will automatically send them to print, FTP or email. The all encompassing Workflow engine tracks, audits and manages this complex process with the click of a button – regardless of whether you run just a few accounts or thousands.

If data is not already collected from a clean source such as a processed data repository, or in some cases even if it is, VRS is able to automatically apply last minute custom data validation checks on what is rendered such as 100% total confirmations, inconsistency reviews or percentage-change-since-last-reporting on the data, alerting the workflow and client service teams that something needs closer inspection and potentially revision before being allowed to be published.
