London April 2004, Vermilion Software, an independent software house, announces its new Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) - a state of the art one stop client reporting solution.

VRS will transform the way in which financial reporting is delivered in the future. The solution has all the functionality any company needs to provide a leading edge corporate client reporting solution. VRS users have the ability to automate the month-end/quarter-end reporting cycles, alleviating the majority of the manual overheads and ensuring a fast, effortless delivery of high quality personalised client reports. VRS addresses the growing number of technical headaches surrounding data extraction from multiple sources, and the production of high quality tailored reports consistency through the batch run, corporate and customer branding. The solution alleviates bottlenecks and improves report production time by automating the whole process, which in turn reduces headcount, costs and creates a prompt ROI.

VRS is built in enterprise java, (enabling the solution to be deployed into virtually environment), consisting of three areas, all communicating with one another. The Data Gateway Services, (DGS) allows the users to extract information from disparate sources - including Oracle, MS Sequel Server, DB2, Sybase, Excel, CSV - and tailor queries to their report requirements. The DGS creates a single point of contact for all corporate data, regardless of location.

Rendering Services, (RS) enable users to design high quality documents, allowing personalisation as well as standard templates to exist, addressing the complexities of rich text between areas, headers and footers and customer personalisation. Commentary, tables and graphs all are generated within template layouts, created from the data requirements, ready for report editing and signoff.

Multi-lingual^† is be handled through the VRS translation module, enabling reports to be produced in any language. In addition all reports can be delivered in all the standard file formats, including HTML, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CSV, PDF reports/documents.

VRS is managed by its Workflow Services, ensuring the controlled extraction of data through to the rendering of reports and sign off. With many additional features like sign off, security permissions and management escalation features, the solution enables organisations to create any type of client report, providing the ability to run the reports instantaneous or overnight.
